Wikipedia - UAE Second Division League
UAE Second Division League is the third tier of football league competition in the United Arab Emirates, the league is organised by UAE Football Association for private funded clubs and universities with amateur teams. The league was established in 2019. The league featured 10 teams who played each other twice in its first season however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Arab Emirates, the UAE footballing season was cancelled and declared a void and all results were null. The UAE FA set a strategy to support featuring more privately owned clubs and football academies in the UAE Football Pyramid. Ahead of the 2022–23 season, the UAE FA confirmed that the format of league will remain as 12 teams, with the introduction of the UAE Third Division League with a promotion-relegation system.
Förenade Arabemiraten Division 2 är den andra nivån i landets fotbollsligasystem. Ligan består av 12 lag som spelar en dubbel serie med matcher hem och borta, totalt 22 matcher per lag. De två bästa lagen i slutet av säsongen befordras till Division 1, medan de två nedersta lagen flyttas ner till Division 3.
Ligan har etablerats som en plattform för unga talanger och uppåtgående spelare att visa upp sin talang och få erfarenhet på hög nivå. Flera spelare som har representerat Förenade Arabemiratens landslag har börjat sina karriärer i Division 2.
Matcher i Division 2 spelas i allmänhet på arenor i hela landet, vilket ger fansen möjlighet att uppleva spännande fotboll på nära håll. Ligan har också följt en betydande tillväxt i popularitet under de senaste åren, med ett ökat antal supportrar som deltar i matcherna.
